Interpretive play
At his playdate this afternoon, my son was surrounded by all things girly. Floundering amid a sea of pink tulle, glittery tiaras and baby dolls, he located the one item with wheels. After struggling to remove his dirty sneakers, he gleefully strapped on a pair of Barbie roller skates. Â Nicholas examined the plastic wheels, stood up carefully and announced he had “choo-choos for his feet.”
